About our Alresford Care Home

Our Alresford care home is situated in a quiet rural village on the outskirts of Colchester, 15 minutes away from its town centre and on the bus route.

This residential care home is registered for 5 service users, each with their own ensuite bathroom and shower room. The nursing home also boasts communal areas for users to relax in, a beautiful garden, and a clean and comfortable dining room for meal times.

Butterfly’s Care Group is passionate about activity-based care, giving service users the freedom to continue doing the hobbies and activities they've always loved. We support them in spending quality time with family and friends and encourage them to play an active part in care home life.

All of our carers have diplomas in health and social care and are regularly sent on courses by Butterfly's to ensure they provide the highest quality care.

Jane's Story:

This individual initially lived in our care home in Colchester, until their requirements changed and they needed a more wheelchair friendly home. As they were happy and settled with us, instead of moving to a different organisation, the individual moved to our care home in Alresford where she was familiar to the staff team and was able to live a more accessible life with in the home. Since then, the individual has been supported and encouraged to be more independent; and with hard work and dedication from the support staff the individual has been able to make a recovery with her mobility and regained her skills that had previous been lost due to ill health.
